Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 September 2026

Who you are contracting with

SweepMyMail is operated by CHARLES BALLADUR CONSEIL ("we", "us"). These terms form a contract between you and CHARLES BALLADUR CONSEIL.

Acceptance

By creating an account, connecting your Gmail, or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be of legal age in your country, and if you use the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have the authority to bind it.

The service

SweepMyMail scans your connected Gmail account to identify newsletters and lets you unsubscribe from, archive, delete, or restore messages. Actions are performed through the official Gmail API using the access you grant. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within your plan. You must not reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the service, or circumvent plan or technical limits.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. In particular, you must not:

  • use it for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or spam;
  • infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others;
  • interfere with the service — including introducing malware, probing or scanning our systems, scraping, or attempting to bypass security or rate limits;
  • connect an account you do not own or lack permission to manage.

Intellectual property

We retain all ownership of the service and its intellectual property — the software, documentation, and branding. These terms grant you no rights to them except the limited right to use the service described above. Your emails and mailbox data remain yours; you grant us only the limited right to process your mailbox metadata as needed to provide the service.

Plans and billing

Scanning and viewing your subscriptions are free. The first 5 unsubscribes are free; beyond that, a subscription of 2.99 €/month (or 19.99 €/year) unlocks unlimited unsubscribes and bulk cleanup. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms, which apply in addition to these terms.

Refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with Premium, request a full refund within 30 days of your order date — visit paddle.net or email support@sweepmymail.com.

Refunds are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, and issued to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days. Cancelling your subscription stops future charges and is always available from Settings → Manage billing.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the actions you trigger. Unsubscribing, archiving, and deleting affect your real mailbox. Deleted messages are moved to Gmail Trash and can be restored from the app or Gmail within Gmail's retention window. Keep your account credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account — and provide accurate information. Use the service only for your own account.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay amounts due, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate the acceptable-use rules. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. When access ends, your stored data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and disclaimer

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose) to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Unsubscribe success depends on each sender honouring the unsubscribe request; we cannot guarantee a sender stops emailing. We may change or discontinue features at any time.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages (including loss of profits, data, or goodwill), or for actions you choose to perform on your own mailbox. Our aggregate liability is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such limitation is not permitted by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law, and the French courts have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you enjoy in your country of residence.
